Middle Patuxent Environmental Area hosted a Golden-winged Warbler
this morning. I found it where the Clegg Meadow meets the Middle
Patuxent River about 8:15. I re-located presumably the same bird
at 10:15 just a little bit down stream.
Warbler diversity was down from last Sunday, when I ticked 10 species.
It was more like 7 today, but the Golden-winged helped compensate. I
had a Blue-winged at pretty much the same point last Sunday, but no
such luck today. Parulas, Canadas, and Ovenbirds were no shows, unlike
on Sunday.
