I received a call from Matt Hafner this morning (10/30/06). The unidentified martin was seen again near Ocean City. Today the bird was seen most frequently around the clubhouse of the Rum Pointe golf course which is off the South Point Road just past the road to the Assateague Bridge. Birders visiting this site should stay out of the way of golfers. With this warm weather there are likely to be many. Matt believes the bird is not a Brown-chested Martin and there are several possibilities. Good luck to anyone that goes.
