Hi al --

Did a little birding in DC today, not tremendously exciting but a nice day
to be out and about. Almost no waterfowl save for Canada Geese. Birds of
interest include:

Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens:

Red-shouldered Hawk (1)
Rusty Blackbird (1m, 1f) -- getting a bit late
Red-winged Blackbird (~35)
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (1 m)
Ruby-crowned Kinglet (4)
Swamp Sparrow (15+)
Field Sparrow (2)

Kenilworth Park:

Bluebird (2)
Savannah Sparrow (4)

Anacostia Park:

Red-tailed Hawk (1)
good number of Ring-billed, Herring and Greater BB Gulls but no Laughing
Gulls

Hains Point:

very quiet, lots of golfers out, best birds were the two Peregrines sitting
on the 14th Street Bridge, and another Red-shouldered Hawk. No Merlins seen.
