Hi Don As for your mixed up black headed Canada Goose that is just a
variation that comes up sometimes . See David Sibley's eastern field
guide there is a picture in there that shows this . I think was in the big
book . I saw one in Queens Annes County once several years ago along
Rt 309 .
As for the Neck Collar numbers go to the birdbanding Lab section at
the Patuxent wildlife Research center website . sorry I do not have the
address at hand at moment but you should be able to google it . There are
instructions there how to submit them online from their website . I
generaly send in some neck collars numbers each winter and get a reply
back sooner or latter as to who, were , when and age estmate of the bird
by snail mail . I hope this helps .
