Sitting here watching a young red-tail chowing down on a mouse he caught
right behind our water garden. A mockingbird started to bother him, but has
since moved away. He was actually hopping right toward the hawk at one
point. Good thing the hawk was preoccupied with the mouse or Brother Mocker
might have been next on the menu.

PS - I saw the hawk had moved off, so I went out to see if anything was left
of the mouse - nothing but a blood stain on the rock the hawk was standing
on.
