Hi all on Sat 2 - 24 an afternoon check of the Rt 309 pond close to Rt

For general interrest as of now Feb 26 In the results for the Great
Backyard Birdcount Maryland is in 4th place of states reporting the
most individuals . Maryland had 491,261 birds

Coming in at No six for Localities reporting the most birds was
Centreville Maryland In QA county with 90,501 . helped along quite a
bit by the 6,000 Snow Geese , 44,000 Grackles and 40,002 Red Winged
Blackbirds .
If anyone out there who birded between feb 16 thru 19 and has not
reported their list yet there is still time . Data can be entered thru
feb 28 . Maybe we can make no 3 or 2 or dare we dream no 1 . Check out
the results on the Great Backyard Bird Count web site for yourself

Happy Birding
