After searching yesterday's roost site and not finding the owls this morning further searching was successful and Steve Sanford spotted the two birds about 50 yards away. At yesterday's site I collected many pellets this morning which means the birds have been there for some time. The birds can be seen from the trail so it is not necessary to approach them closely.
