While riding to and from work on Metro's Yellow Line train over the Potomac
River between the L'Enfant Plaza and Pentagon stations, I always take a look
at the RR bridge. That bridge is a popular hangout for Peregrine falcons
and/or Ospreys, depending on the season. This morning, for the first time
this year, I saw an Osprey on the bridge; it appeared to be eating a fish.
This evening, I saw two Ospreys mating atop the old Osprey nest on the
bridge. Spring is really here!
