Bob,

I meant to put a question mark against that sighting. Sorry about that.

I did consult with the participant who had a much better sighting of the
bird than I did, and he too is not comfortable with confirming it as a
Philadelphia Vireo.

We had a broadside view of the bird. The first thing that caught our
attention was that it was not moving like a typical warbler, but had a more
deliberate style. It had a light lemony wash from the chin down to the
belly, with a paler vent. We were trying to get a better handle on key
pointers (e.g. the post-ocular stripe, supercilium) that would have helped
us set it apart from the Warbling Vireo, but it did the disappearing act on
us.

Unfortunately it was silent throughout the 20 seconds or so that we had it
in view.
