Hi Everyone,

I had a little excitement here in Morrell Park this morning . It started by
watching some of the Dark eyed junco . After a couple minutes of watching
them Im surprised to look up above them and find 2 hawks ( 1Red shouldered
1 Coopers) sitting in seperate very bare trees. I took a couple pictures and
was scanning the pictures and see that i have gotten the Coopers hawk eyes
glowing . Would this be unusual I wonder? After messing around with the
camera I went to look at the hawks again and they were gone . Replaced by
American Crows. When i went outside to put some bread out I heard the
Downy WP and Carolina wren . While the House sparrows , European starling ,
Mourning doves , and American crows came for the bread and the gray squirrel
walked the high wire past the window .

I cant seem to figure out why these crows that arent scared of eating
another birds eggs ( do they eat their own) , or mobbing a hawk , or landing in
the middle of a road with cars flying up and down to rip open a Mcdonalds
bag , seem very scared of some bread .

Have A Great Christmas , SByrd

ps. I hope spring hurrys up cause im forgetting all the bird songs that i learned
over the summer.
