For the past two weeks we have had many purple finches and a Pine
warbler showing up at the feeders. The Brown creepers, Winter wren and
Red-breasted nuthatches are still here along with a White-breasted
nuthatch. The Fox sparrow only shows up once in a while, stays for a
couple days and then off he goes until the next time. Otherwise the
feeders are busy with three different woodpeckers, goldfinches, juncos,
white-throats, doves, cardinals, chickadees, titmice, house finches,
carolina wrens and sapsuckers. The sharp-shinned hawk comes to feed
almost every evening. For us it is wonderful to sit and watch all the
activity.
