Hey everyone-

I went to Fort McHenry today around 1:00 to 2:15 for some casual
walking/birding with my family. Nothing too exciting to report, just
Bufflehead, Mallards, gulls, sparrows, a flock of maybe 150 Canada Geese in
the water (no Cackling), and a very obliging group of ten American Wigeon by
the small boat pier near the beginning of the bike path, of which I was able
to get a couple photos. Hope everyone had a good New Year! My first bird of
the new year was a Pileated Woodpecker in our neighborhood, which was a nice
surprise.
