About 30-40 minutes ago, I saw a Merlin at the swamp along the Paint Branch
Trail in College Park.  I presume that it's the same bird which I saw on
Jan. 28th.  It had found a different perch, but not too far from the
location I found it last week.

I also found 2 yellow-bellied sapsuckers right where the trail crosses
Metzerott Rd... in fact all 5 common woodpeckers in the vicinity excepting a
Pileated (though I'd heard one earlier up above the swamp).  I also think I
had a creeper, but after quickly trying to get my bins on it I couldn't find
it anywhere, sneaky little guys.
