In our neighborhood, we have a small population of very pale squirrels. We call them frosties. Last year there was a family of at least 5. They have a tawny streak up their back but their tails, flanks, belly and head are all almost white. They have dark eyes so we think it's only a fur pigmentation difference. I'm not a big fan of squirrels ever since we came back from vacation several years ago and they had chewed through the wiring harness on my Toyota Tercel and it cost $1500 to replace and the part had to come from Japan but I'd welcome these guys to our yard as they are so unique!
