I was with the group who originally found the grebe on the 2nd of march and no doubt that him/her!

The top two photos look like an Eared Grebe to me, (1) very peaked crown, (2) 
more extensive dark on face and neck-front, (3) thinner neck.  See

The bottom photos are all female Buffleheads.
