The islands were alive with Blackpoll Warbler song. Three Northern
Waterthrushes and two Swainson' Thrushes added to the chorus.

A fiesty male Baltimore Oriole was observed in hot pursuit of a crow (sp.?)
and a male Red-winged Blackbird was sighted seeing off a Red-shouldered
Hawk.

Large flocks of Cedar Waxwings criss-crossed the area presumably in search
of insect/arthropod prey.
