Hi all,
I just got a call from Jim Green and he reports hearing a Henslow's Sparrow
singing from a field in western Montgomery County. My phone kept breaking up
(it sort of fell in the pool) so I am not sure of the exact location.
Somewhere out towards Poolesville. He and Andy Martin are still there and the bird
was singing as we spoke but had not been seen yet. If you want to chase this
bird I suggest you call Jim or Andy on their cells and try and make contact
that way. Since we have moved I can't locate my MoCo maps to find out the
location, and chances of my hearing back from Jim are not likely. My phone is out
in the sun drying out...
