Hi folks

  Since April, I've been keeping a quiet watch on the YC Night Heron Pair up the
street from me.  So far, they have 5 young with one fledged, and 4 still in the nest
getting ready to take off.  With the summer storms, the nest is getting flimsy,
but the young are perching for short periods.  Hopefully they will be on their way soon. It is an unusual place to nest, right in the middle of a suburban neighborhood.
