Hi Everyone,
Brad Lanning e-mailed me to pass on a sighting of a SNOWY EGRET at Lilypons: "I found a Snowy Egret at Lilypons yesterday evening [8/13] on my way home from work. The bird was perched and flying in the pond along the river, all the way back, partially viewable from the bridge."
He also found a GREAT EGRET at the fish hatchery on Route 66 in Washington Co. yesterday morning. He had about 50 KILLDEER at the construction pond, but no Semipalmated Sandpiper. He didn't relocate the Black-crowned Night-Heron.
Good birding!
