Howdy- I wandered over to Burba Lake (Fort Meade) on my lunch break to check the activity. It was pretty slow, so I entertained myself by sneaking up on a couple of Green Herons for photos. Later, I dropped by Oxbow lake to check for lingering Least Bitterns. Alas...I still haven't seen them. Green Herons were all over the place, though. Perhaps they should be renamed "Swamp Robins."

There was a flock of 75+ ducks at the far end of Oxbow I couldn't ID though my bins. They didn't seem "mallardy" in flight.

I've updated my photos, however gotten behind in labeling them. Most recent additions are last Saturday's trip with Jim Brighton and Bill (Calvert Tri-colored Heron, etc) and today's haul.

Have a great week.
