Hi All,

Yesterday morning (10 September) started out well, there was a really good flight of thrushes at the Carey Run MOS Sanctuary property (where I am staying during the week), the best bird of the pre-dawn flight was my first GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH of the year among the masses of SWAINSON'S THRUSHES.  We had to do some field work in Garrett County, it was pretty laid back so we were able to bird a bit at our sites, there were a lot of migrants around!  At our last site of the day, there was a single flyby MERLIN.  After work I checked North Branch in Allegany CO., there were still 2 STILT SANDPIPERS and one RUDDY TURNSTONE at the rouge lagoons, as well as a single YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER along the Potmac.   Also, on Tuesday 9 September,  I checked the sod farm off of Jasper Riley Road, the only bird that was put down by the rain was a single SEMI-PALMATED PLOVER.
