Hi Pat.
I usually get our first White throats of the season at Turkey Point almost to the day. October first is probably the average date for me their. I have had them earlier, but not by much. They usually are very quite this time of year. Some of the peeping in the early am. can be heard but the call note, "steeeet" is quieter but more common this time of year, especially at night when they fly over head. Nice report and a good find.
I would bet that there was a large parade of Blue Jays down there today again too. Probably 500 plus???
