While out west for three weeks I watched the postings about this
bird, hoping she'd stick around till
I could try to see her.
I drove over today and found the pond very dry indeed withno ducks in
sight.
A mallard drake & two hens showed up for a few moments around 11:15 AM,
so, perhaps if I'd waited all day . . . but I couldn't.
So it goes. Now I'm thinking about that Harris' sparrow that
purportedly was
in Delaware . . .once upon a time.
