Well, I saw the Horned Grebe in Cambridge on Friday morning but didn't see
the famous ducks. I went all over the waterfront but never anyplace with
wooden docks, and I thought the yacht club was off limits since we had to
park outside the fence, so I never went inside there, which is apparently
where the darn tufted duck is usually found.
I couldn't located a building with a red roof anywhere, either. I saw a
little white building with a brown roof, though.
At least the Wigeons, Canvasbacks, and Redheads are pretty ducks, so it was
a pleasant hour of birding except for the frigid temps and the wind chill.
And I did see those thousands of Snow Geese in the fields on my way to
Rehoboth, where I also didn't find the Black-bellied Whistling Duck.
