Nice job on the Little Gull!

Marc Ribaudo, Gerry Hawkins, Rich Rieger and I spotted the 2 King Eiders
just beyond the southern jetty near 2pm. American Oystercatchers were
viewed from 4th street plus Dunlin, only Horned Grebes from 33rd street.
Other birds tallied were as noted by others in the last week. Golf Course Rd
pond was frozen over, but still sported 2 ice-skating Black-bellied Plovers.

Earlier in Cambridge (ca. 830am) we noted the Tufted Duck from the public
portion of the marina boardwalk and the Barrow's Goldeneye from the
viewpoint on the other side (bayside) of the marina. And one Sherman Suter.
About a 1000 Canvasback nearby, too, plus a nice assortment of other
species.

We stopped at the landfill in Salisbury (ca. 1130) and noted 2 Lesser
Black-backed Gulls. Jim Stasz was there and said the Glaucous Gull was
present before we arrived but an eagle put them up and ... oh well!

On a side note, we quickly found the Black-bellied Whistling Duck on Silver
Lake ice in Dewey Beach, Del. No Snowy Owls spotted on the way up north.

All the regulars were at the inlet this morning - Great Cormorant,
Brant, both Loons, Black and Surf Scoters, noisy Purple Sandpipers,
horned Grebe, pair of Eiders (on the far side), Buffleheads, Bonaparte
Gulls plus an adult winter Little Gull. It did not hang around - came
into the inlet from the north, flew for a few minutes and then headed
south.
