9 folks traveled around Montgomery county yesterday to check as many
bodies of water as we could. Started 8 AM at Violette's Lock on Potomac
(including a walk down to mi post 21 for the Trumpeters) and proceeded
thereafter to Riley's, Hughes Hollow, Sycamore Landing, Edwards Ferry,
Edwards Ferry Rd farm pond, Soccerplex pond, Black Hill RP, Zion Rd
Pond, Triadelphia, Lake Needwood, and Crabb's Branch SWMP.

We found 21 species of swans/geese/ducks plus 2 grebe species (like
other folks reporting from Triadelphia on Sat, could not relocate the RN
Grebe) and American Coot.
We missed Gadwall, pintail and shoveler. The latter two expected to a
lesser extent. Total species for day was 73.

Highlights include:
Trumpeter and Tundra Swans at Blockhouse Pt
Surf and White-winged Scoter at Riley's
2 Red-breasted Mergansers at Triadelphia
2 Redheads at Crabb's Branch SWMP near Shady Grove Metro
6 Bald Eagles (3 Black Hill RP, 1 imm flyover Schaefer Farm area Seneca
Crk SP and 2 Triadelphia).
FOS Wilson's Snipe at Hughes Hollow and Germantown Soccerplex Pond
FOS Tree Swallows at Edwards Ferry
