Birders,

Ken has been most helpful and just sent the following information. Since not

all birders want to wait until the weekend I'm
forwarding this now in hopes that only small numbers of people will show up
at
any one time. He is going to discontinue spreading
seed in the woods. This means you can go to 6760 Alexander Bell Drive (from
I-
95, go west on Md175 1/2 mile to Gateway Drive; south
on Gateway to a right on A. Bell. Go around the right side of the building
to
the rear where there are several feeders). The
sparrow was seen this afternoon.

I spoke to the building manager, and she said that it was fine if people
walk
on the property as long as they stay outside the
building. She also thought that it would be ok to send the alert to the
broader group on Friday (if Harris is still here), so that
more people could come on the weekend. I told her that there could be 40-50
people here, and she said that she would notify the
security patrol so they wouldn't be too concerned. I've also mentioned the
bird to the people in the office closest to where we were
standing on Saturday, and they said that having a few people around during
work hours was not a problem, particularly since their
break room is there on the corner.
