Interesting mix of wintering and breeding birds along Sligo Creek Pkwy this morning, 0.5 mile west of Colesville Rd (Rt 29). The list is below.

I also found nests of the following: Yellow-crowned night heron
(2 diff nests; 4 birds), Carolina chickadee, Fish
crow, European starling. The heron nests are in the same location as last year; directly above the first parking lot you come to on Sligo Creek Pkwy as you head west from Rt 29. Should be easy to find but incase it helps, one is in a sycamore and the other in a tulip poplar. One of the birds was foraging in the creek for >1 hr.
