Mostly cloudy; 56-87 degrees; poor to fair visibility with fog and haze;
winds calm much of the day, then westerly, and finishing from the SE in the
last two hours
Raptor Observations:
At 3:30 pm, a Common Raven flew north over the pond and then continued out
over the Patapsco, last seen heading west over Sparrows Point; over 1,000
Blue Jays; Glossy Ibis, Little Blue Heron, Green Heron, Snowy Egret,
Black-crowned Night Heron (3); New Arrivals: Great Crested Flycatcher, Blue
Grosbeak, Common Yellowthroat

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays. |
