Hi all --

Taking advantage of the rain and looking at last years' Hains Point goodies
at about this same date (multiple Franklin's Gulls, Turnstone) Barry and I
went down to check things out. Lots of gulls on the golf course but no
Franklin's, 97% were Ring-billed with a few Herring and immature GBBG.

However we were rewarded with a summer-plumaged BLACK TERN sitting on a
green buoy, about 1/2 way out from the first parking lot as you round the
point, in line with National AP. Along with this bird were about 6 Forster's
Terns. Quite a few migrants in the trees all along, dominated by
Yellow-rumps and a real fall-out of Catbirds (20? 25?).
