Inspired by Gail's post I took the car out of the garage for a swing round Hains Pt this lunchtime. I had some of the same birds but also a few different ones.
Highlights:
Cattle Egret - in fine breeding plumage, with flock of Ring-bills on golf course opp Parking Area 4 (Washington Channel). Perhaps same bird as was seen in the general area several weeks back?
Sterna terns - a group of 6 had replaced Gail and Barry's Black Tern on the green buoy. I only had bins and the visibility was poor but they looked more like Common than Forsters, looking a bit grayish underneath.
Lesser Yellowlegs (5) and Solitary Sandpiper (1) in small pool just S of last bathroom block as you drive back up N
Veery w in the lane by the maintenance yard
White-crowned Sparrow singing near last bathrooms on drive N
Yellow, Blackpoll and Common Yellowthroat as well as many Yellow-rumps
Bobolink heard several times out over the golf course.
Good birding

Hi all --
Taking advantage of the rain and looking at last years' Hains Point goodies
at about this same date (multiple Franklin's Gulls, Turnstone) Barry and I
went down to check things out. Lots of gulls on the golf course but no
Franklin's, 97% were Ring-billed with a few Herring and immature GBBG.
