Hi all just a quick note to report  that after arriving at work this morning  5 - 5 - 09  I flushed  up a  Male  Bobolink  around one of our  farm roads here at the Wye Research Center near Queenstown , Maryland . Right after lunch there was a larger flock of Bobolinks on another part of the farm.  list below  Numbers are rough estimates  as I was working  not birding  but hard not to look  and listen while out today .

Bobolink    12 

Eastern Kingbird   1

Tree Swallow  20  in a flock  hunting a field 

Barn Swallow  2 in above flock 

Wood Thrush   2     heard singing only 

Eastern Towhee    1   heard  only 

Eastern Bluebird   2    a pair has a nest  in a wooden shelve like structure attached to  

                                fence . Looks like a  nesting  box without a front 

Goldfinch      12
