Hi Mike and all,
Last night the Neotropic Cormorant was on an island about 1 mile
downstream of Violette's Lock (the same island as Thursday night). The
spot is right near a mile marker. Unfortunately I neglected to note
which number was on the marker, but I am pretty sure it is 21. This
island seems to be the number one roost spot for cormorants in the
area so if you are there in the evening you can probably find it just
by looking in the trees for cormorants.

There are a few spots to view the island from the towpath just
upstream of the mile marker, but you have to look through the trees.
By the mile marker there is a trail down to the river where you get an
unobstructed view of the island though you'll be viewing from a lower
angle.

Good luck!
