Subject: Poplar Island Sightings from June 10, 2009

This report is submitted on behalf of Jan Reese of Talbot County, who
continues to periodically survey the flora and fauna of the Paul Sarbanes
Ecosystem Restoration Project at Poplar Island.
Some of the birds were seen from the boat during the trip from
Tilghman Island and back.
Note particularly the presence of seven species of shorebirds, along
with interesting numbers of Osprey and Bank Swallows. Presence of Laughing
Gulls was also a bit unusual at this time.

Weather: Hazy clouded sun am, overcast pm, Temp: degrees F 77-84
