Hi --

While a lone Bank Swallow pair would be unusual (also swallows nesting in a
structure are certainly more apt to be Rough-wings) we did have a lone pair
of Bank Swallows nesting two years' running in a steep bank along Northwest
Branch in Layhill Park, first found by Jordan Wilkerson and confirmed by us
for the Atlas. The pair was back the next year but after some very high
water events, deserted and have never returned. And yes, we were astonished
to find a single pair but that's definitely what they were!
