While sitting bucket this evening (27 Sep., 2009) at 7 pm, I watched an Ibis fly south the entire length of (the southern half of) Jug Bay.  Sadly, it was so silhouetted that I can't say which species.  A quick check of Selby Landing in the hope that the Lutmerdings might be watching from the un-silhouetted side yielded no such luck.  Never having seen a Glossy this late, and considering the White Ibis sightings lately, one wonders.  Perhaps it was headed to Merkle to spend the night/hang out.  Hope someone can check in the next couple of days.
