Greetings:

See the attached message below. The Smithsonian has a series of surplus
(but usable) museum cases. We have stored a few at Patuxent, but do not
have any room for additional ones. If anyone has an unused garage, barn
or other building the Smithsonian will ship them to you for free (you will
have to have a crew there to unload) and you will be doing everyone a good
deed. I have seen the cases, they are in good shape.

Contact Jerry Conlon directly and copy the rest of the folks on this list.

Thanks

sam

C. J.,

We are forced to start the disposal process for the cases as of Monday,
September 28. Please let me know ASAP if you or Sam can figure out some
kind of a storage option. Thank you.

Jerry

C. J.,

You still have 35 cases at the Museum. Each case is 29"W x 39.5"D x 40"H.
If you were to make a 4 case by 4 case cube stacked two high of 32 of
these cases, the cube would be just under 10'W x just over 13'D x 6'8"H.
You would also need space for the three additional cases. I hope this
helps.

Jerry

Dear Jerry,
Can you tell me what the total size of the remaining cases is?
Such as x feet, by y, by z? Perhaps that would help us figure out
options in the D.C. area.

                       thanks, c.j.
