The pipits were still there at 10:00 am today. Seen at the edge of the water from the intersection of Walnut Ave & Albany Ave.

I also saw 2 Brown Pelicans at Herrington Harbor flying low and north over the bay. Dan Haas relocated the Purple Sandpipers.

Happy Holidays,

Yesterday afternoon I went down to Herrington Harbor in southern Anne
Arundel County, hoping to find the Purple Sandpipers reported the day before
by Dan Haas and company.  I didn't see any, but a nice consolation prize was
the three AMERICAN PIPITS that were busy foraging on the tiny bit of muddy
beach at the small park on Walnut Avenue.  They were joined by a Song
Sparrow; also present were two Killdeer, a pair of Mallards, and the usual
Ring-billed Gulls.
