Around 11:30 this morning Jim Brighton called to report that he
and Ron Gutberlet were enjoying the view of a Greater White-fronted Goose
from the vantage point of the boathouse pier at Pickering Creek Audubon
Center.  This bird was in the company of about 30 Canadas, and was resting
on the shoreline opposite the boathouse.

          Jim also mentioned sighting of around 30 White-crowned Sparrows
along the path between the old barn and the first viewing pond at Pickering.
