This morning while driving the down-range portion of the Edgewood Area at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Harford County, I came across the following:

One very light-colored adult Red-Tailed Hawk; this bird is had an almost completely unmarked breast that I was a little unsure of its ID until it flew revealing a gorgeous red-tail…

One large female Northern Harrier and one distant American Kestrel

Two adult Bald Eagles

Four American Turkeys

Two Yellow-rumped Warblers; one of these birds had a very buffy, almost yellowish wash to its throat. Unfortunately the view was extremely poorly lit so there is no way to call it. Let’s just say it was interesting… I am more inclined to call it myrtle, as the yellow on the flanks was very yellow and quite noticeable even with the light conditions.

Happy New Year!
