I have rescued more cats than I want to remember, and the best thing I have 
found is Zero Odor.  I think you can only buy it on line.  Probably zero 
odor dot com.  I have tried most on the market and this works best.  It 
works on most other odors as well.

If the insides of the equipment did not get wet the equipment should be 
fine.

P.S.  Any one want a nice kitty?  I have a few for good cat owners.  All 
cats must remain in doors if adopted.
