Howdy all.

I'm doing my annual "Bird-Nerd-A-Thon" with friends and family on the
1st of January again this year, we try to get as many species as we can
in a full day of birding to get our year list started off right. I'm
hoping some folks along the route we drive (see below) who've seen some
extra good birds in the last few days will take a minute to drop me an
email so I can finish up my travel route for Friday. You can reply
off-list to

Thanks! Good birding to all and to all a good sight(ing). :-)

Our rough route (St Mary's to So. PG counties):
We start at sunrise at Pt Lookout State Park and hit the surrounding
areas. Up towards Callaway and St Georg'es Island. To Beauvue Ponds in
Leonardtown. To Allen's Fresh and up to rt 301. Up 301 to Waldorf,
across 228 to head for Piscataway Park and then home before sunset for
Red-Headed Woodpeckers. Any thoughts on places for interesting finds
along that general path are much appreciated!!
