Folks

I helped on the Port Tobacco CBC on Sunday, December 27. My last of four
locations was a new state property in Charles County. It is called Cedar
Point Wildlife Management Area (WMA). I birded from noon to five PM. Later
in the day usually is slower than the morning, but I still had a nice
collection. This is an area that birders should consider birding. It is a
WMA so be aware of the hunting activities and times of the years if you go.
It does require allot of walking but has lots of potential.

Before the state purchased it I have had some nice finds on this property.
My best was Brewer's Blackbird about three years ago. It was private
property but I had permission to bird there. It is now open to the public
thanks to project Open Space money.

Enjoy and happy new year to all.

George
