3/3 - Kinder Rd - 250 swan, 3 Canada Geese in the field. 9 Wood Duck, 2 Mallard, 2 GW Teal looking into the farthest pond through opening between woods. This is actually one of my created wetlands at the back end of my property.

Oak Grove Rd - 285 swan on the south side. 25 deer on the north side.

3/2 - Kinder Rd - 110 Swans, 1 Snow Goose (wonder if it is hurt), 2 Gadwall, but no other ducks and the large flock of Canadas left. I believe they were migrants because they were very skittish when I approached the flock from my property on Sunday.

There was one string of 75-100 Canadas that flew over. It contained one noticeably smaller bird, 2/3 to 3/4 the size of the others in wingspan and length. The group angled by and I got a solid look at the head profile showing a short, stubby bill and a pronounced forehead. I quickly compared it to the others immediately adjacent in line and they had longer, sloping bills. So I am going out on a limb here to make my first claim of a flyby Cackling Goose. It is with some trepidation given the wide variety in Canadas, but this bird clearly stood out. Ironic that I luck into a flyover after I could not extract one from the 1000+ geese sitting here for the past 10 days.
