We arrived at Holiday Inn Express at 6:50am and it was still dark. By  
7:30am I could see the ducks at the far end of the inn diving in the  
cove in front of the little barge. Light was poor as the sun comes up  
to the left of the barge but he was there I just didn't see him until  
nearly 8am. I went back out on the highway and parked my truck at the  
end of the guard rail then walked behind the rail looking through  
brush to see him. I did not see his tuft as he would dive, come up and  
dive again. What a wonderful bird to watch as he hung out with the  
scaups and two mallards.
Now we are on our way to Blackwater and tomorrow will be at Bombay for  
the day. I just love 2 day trips.
