Howdy,

I spent a few hours at Pt. Lookout yesterday morning, and enjoyed a beautiful sunrise as the backdrop to six NORTHERN GANNETS flying up the Patuxent from up the Bay. The usual pair of Bald Eagles were renovating their nest across from the marina, and Osprey were ubiquitous- and copulating on most of the channel markers. The heron rookery was also very active; the eagles scared up over twenty Great Blue Herons in the pines just to the right of the boat launch.

I've got photos, but an abysmal dial-up internet connection, so updates will be slow coming. I've posted a few updates from Asia/Middle East from my travels of the last 14 months, if anyone's interested in checking them out: www.flickr.com/photos/mattyfioner/

Cheers!
Matt
