This morning I drove by Mt. Zion Methodist Church on Rt. 422 (Bayard Rd) in AA County, where bobolinks were found last year. They are baaackkk! There was a flock of about 20-30 birds that dove into the grass as I approached, and a few gorgeous males that sat on the grass tops and sang. I only stayed a moment, so there may be more birds there. What gorgeous creatures they are!
The church is located on the west side of Lothian Circle, on 422. The crossroads at the circle are Rt. 2, 408, and 422 (Bayard Road). Last year I was able to locate the birds for 2-3 days before they left.
Enjoy!
