I walked from the Smithsonian metro stop on the Mall early this morning, through the various gardens, to get a look at the damage to the Hirshhorn Museum this morning. You can see reports of the damage on local news websites. What will likely only be reported on MDOsprey will be:
A Peregrine Falcon harassing the pigeons on the Mall (basically flying circles around a big flock, sort of like a border collie with a flock of sheep)
Lots of American Redstarts in both the Enid Haupt and Mary Ripley gardens
A couple of Yellow Warblers in the Enid Haupt Garden.
