Did another short trip to Hains Pt this morning. A couple of ALDER FLYCATCHERS remain, one at the maintenance area and the other half way up the Potomac side on the golf course. Both were heard but not seen, as was a LEAST FLYCATCHER in close proximity to the second Alder. Also at that spot was a completely tail-less GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH. It also looked like it was missing a couple of tertials on one wing.
Other migrants were plenty of American Redstart and Blackpoll, still some Myrtle Warblers hanging on, and a few Swainson's Thrush. Plenty of the expected breeders - Yellow Warbler, Yellowthroat, and both orioles - also around. A few Bank Swallows joined the commoner species feeding at the very end of Hains Pt.
Good birding
