Hi all,
On a tip from Stan Arnold, I drove up Sands and Patuxent River Roads this morning in search of my closeout Eastern Meadowlark. I started on Sands Road at Rte 408 and visited Sands Road Park, Wooton's Landing Park and Davidsonville Park. Highlights below:
Sands Road Park:
3 Bank Swallow
1 Acadian Flycatcher
1 Field Sparrow
1 Grasshopper Sparrow
2 Eastern Meadowlark
Along Sands Road:
1 Eastern Phoebe
1 Great Crested Flycatcher
3 Wood Thrush
1 Warbling Vireo
1 Northern Parula
1 Chestnut-sided Warbler
Wooton's Landing Park:
1 Wood Duck
2 Barred Owls
1 Cedar Waxwing
2 Belted Kingfisher
1 Brown Thrasher
2 White-eyed Vireo
1 Yellow-throated Vireo
1 Yellow Warbler
2 Prairie Warbler
1 Blackpoll Warbler
1 Prothonotary Warbler
1 Yellow-breasted Chat
Davidsonville Park:
2 Bobolink
0 Alder Flycatcher(i.e. none)
Rain off and on, but not too bad. A good morning - 1 closeout and 6 county birds. Thank you very much, Stan.
Helen
